New Stuff For The City

The Bryan City Council approves legislation improving the city’s parks area during Monday’s regular meeting. The unanimously okayed a donation of $68 hundred dollars from American Legion Post 284 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2489…for a 50-foot flag pole to be erected at Sumpter Field…as well as a 1600 dollar donation from the Bryan Girls Softball Association…in memory of Ali Herman for a 30-foot flag pole to be installed at Field No. 5. Also…the nearby Fountain City Amphitheater will be getting a lighted pathway after council approved the city to seek bids for the project, which is being paid for through a $125,000 dollar state grant.
