New Top Cop in Archbold

Arch­bold has a new police chief. Joseph Wyse has already been with the ARch­bold police depart­ment for 18 years and is an Arch­bold native. He takes over from Chief Mar­tin Schmidt to was with the depart­ment for 35 years. The Vil­lage Coun­cil chose him from 35 resumes not only from this region but from around the coun­try. Chief Wyse is the brother of vil­lage mayor Jim Wyse, but he was not a part of the selec­tion as a con­flict of interest.
