No More Room For Snow In Defiance

Too much snow, and no place left to put it. That’t the situation in downtown Defiance, and it’s prompted Defiance Mayor Bob Armstrong to declare a snow emergency and downtown parking ban so city crews can begin to remove snow from the downtown.

Parking is prohibited on most downtown streets overnight until the clean up is done. Any vehicle parked on a street marked for cleanup will be removed and impounded at the owner’s expense and the owner will then be subject to a fine of $25.

City officials also ask downtown Defiance merchants to shovel sidewalk snow to the parking lane so city crews can remove it easier.
