Noel “Biff” Hitzeman, 76

Noel L. “Biff” Hitzeman, 76, of Hicksville, Ohio passed away Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Parkview Bryan Hospital surrounded by his family. Biff was born February 15, 1948, in Indianapolis, Indiana, son of the late Vincent E. and Margaret R. (Herndon) Hitzeman. He was a 1966 graduate of Hicksville High School and continued his education at Bowling Green State University, studying journalism. Biff served in the United States Marine Corp. from September 20, 1971, until his honorable discharge on June 19, 1973. He married Donna D. Lomont on March 25, 1972, in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Biff worked at Parker Hannifin until his retirement in 2010. He previously worked at International Harvester for nine years. Biff was a member of the Old Fort Mustang Club and could often be found visiting with friends at Yoder Body Shop. He enjoyed restoring classic cars and antiques. He took pride in caring for his lawn and loved spending time outdoors, especially fishing.

Surviving is his loving wife of 52 years, Donna Hitzeman of Hicksville, Ohio; two sons, Jason (Jennifer) Hitzeman of Canton, Georgia, and Chad (Heather) Hitzeman of Stockbridge, Georgia; six grandchildren, Elizabeth (Jaden) Joffrion, Megan Hitzeman, Emma Hitzeman, Harmony Hitzeman, Peyton Hitzeman, and Asher Hitzeman; brother, Larry (Deb) Hitzeman of Hicksville, Ohio. Biff was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Michael Hitzeman and Vincent “Skip” Hitzeman.

Visitation for Biff will be held Wednesday, July 24, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m. at Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 706 N. Main Street, Hicksville. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 25, 2024, beginning at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Kevin Doseck officiating. Interment will follow at Scipio Cemetery, Harlan, Indiana with military graveside rites by combined honor guard Hicksville American Legion Post 223, Sherwood VFW Post 5665, and Farmer American Legion Post 137.
