Norma J. Stephens-Graber, 92

Norma J. Stephens-Graber, 92, of Waterloo, Indiana, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Auburn Village, Auburn, Indiana.  Norma was born August 22, 1931, in Lima, Ohio, daughter of the late Theodore “Teddy” and Dolores (Scranton) Stone.  She graduated from Lima Central High School, Lima, Ohio.  Norma married Wendell D. Stephens on January 14, 1950, in Lima, and together they enjoyed 42 years of marriage until his passing on September 18, 1992.  On June 23, 2004, she married Benjamin Graber in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and he survives.  Norma was a medical chart analyst for over 30 years, working for both the Bryan Medical Group and Community Hospitals & Wellness Centers (CHWC), now known as Parkview Bryan Hospital.  In her younger years, Norma enjoyed volunteering with her daughters’ 4-H club and with the children’s ministry at church, traveling with her family, baking and canning.

She is survived by her husband, Benjamin Graber of Waterloo, Indiana; three daughters, Donna (Randy) Hartleroad of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Diane (Brian) Zeedyk of Hicksville, and Debbie (Eric) Gillespie of Antwerp, Ohio; six grandchildren, Chris (Vanessa) Hartleroad, Elizabeth (Aaron) Daseler, Michael (Chelsea) Zeedyk, Rebecca (David) Hodgman, Ashley (David) Smith, and Nate Woodring; and 11 great-grandchildren with one on the way.  Norma was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Wendell; and two brothers, Charles Stone and Harold “Tubby” Stone.

Private graveside services for Norma J. Stephens-Graber will take place at Six Corners Cemetery, Hicksville.  Arrangements are in care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 706 North Main Street, Hicksville, Ohio 43526.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be directed to Stillwater Hospice or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
