Normagene Andres, age 87, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 1:05 A.M. on Sunday, February 14, 2016, at the University of Toledo Medical College, where she was a patient, after a brief illness. Mrs. Andres was salutatorian of the 1946 Stryker High School graduating class and worked alongside her husband on their dairy farm for forty-five years. She was a member of New Hope Community Church, where she was active in the Prime Time Group, was well known for her baking and was a staple at the Farmers’ Market for sixteen years selling her baked goods.
Normagene Andres was born on April 22, 1928, in Edgerton, Ohio, the daughter of Leo and Verle (Cook) Goebel. She married Marvin Andres on June 1, 1946, in Edgerton, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on August 8, 2003.
Survivors include three sons, Ronald (Neva) Andres, of Bellevue, Ohio, Gary (Mary Jo) Andres, of Toledo, and Jerry (Ladonna) Andres, of Archbold, Ohio; two daughters, Vickie Yoder, of Bryan, and Kathy (Tom) Sims, of Edgerton; ten grandchildren, Chris (Shawna) Andres, Matt Yoder, Robin Yoder, Tobi (Troy) McKitrick, Travis (Sara Medina) Andres, Adam (Melissa) Andres, Jacob Sims, Jennifer (Shannon Cousino) Sims, Joe Sims and Lydia Andres; ten great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty Wieland, of Bryan; and one brother, Darrell (Jeanette) Goebel, of Stryker. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a son-in-law, Dale Yoder.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2016, from 2:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Services will be held on Friday, February 19, 2016, at 2:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan, with Pastor Dave Nicholls officiating. Interment will follow in Fountain Grove Cemetery in Bryan.
