Obit: Jim Spangler, age 74.

Jim Spangler, age 74, of Pioneer, Ohio and Dandridge, Tennessee passed away Monday, May 4, 2026, peacefully at home with his wife of 50 years at his bedside.  Jim was born July 2, 1951, in Hicksville, Ohio to the late Ford and Mae (Bradford) Spangler.  Jim married Jerelyn (Markley) Spangler on September 12, 1976, and she survives.  Jim was a strong-willed man of many words.  He was one of the hardest working people anyone knew.  He was an avid hunter and collector of guns and classic cars.  Jim was a lifetime member of the Willimas County Gun Club. He and his wife enjoyed shooting trap together across the country.  In recent years, Jim enjoyed relaxing in their Tennessee home, after many years of hard labor.  Jim is the founder and President of Rapid Machine, Inc. (formerly Spangler Superior Tool Mfg.) of Pioneer, Ohio. Jim is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jerelyn, which together they created many memories.  Survivors also include, three children, a son-in-law, 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, along with a sister, father-in-law, nieces and nephews and many close friends.  Jim is also survived by his special companion dogs, Maci, Madi, and Niki. Jim is preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers and his mother-in-law. Jim’s visitation will be held Thursday, May 7, 2026, 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Krill Funeral Home, Bryan, Ohio.  Funeral service will be Friday, May 8, 2026, 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home.  Pastor John Hale, Senior Pastor of Newport Church of the Nazarene, Newport, Tennessee will officiate.  Interment will follow in Brown Cemetery, Center Township, Bryan, Ohio.  Pallbearers, Curt Albright, Jordan Mazzoni, Jeff Kuebeck, Mike DuBois, Jared DuBois, Gene Corkle, Charlie Entenman, Trever Bernath.
