Ohio Consumers’ Counsel celebrating legal win that could save Ohioans on electric bills.

The Ohio Consumers’ Counsel is celebrating a legal win it says will save Ohioans millions on their electric bills. On Monday, the U.S. Supreme Court declined to hear an appeal involving the Ohio Consumers’ Counsel, instead letting a lower court’s ruling stand. The OCC celebrated the decision, saying it will save Ohioans more than $400 million through 2031 by overturning an added fee that the OCC argued was unfair.
