Olieta Bell Bouldrey, 94 years, of Fairbury, Illinois, and a former resident of Defiance, Ohio, passed away at 3:31 p.m. Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury, Illinois. She was born November 10, 1919 in Defiance, Ohio, the daughter of the late Otto and Louise Fientje Bumpus. Olieta was a graduate of DeVilbiss High School, Toledo, Ohio. She married Albert Silas Bouldrey on December 15, 1937 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and he preceded her in death on February 5, 1977. Olieta was a devoted homemaker who took great pride in caring for her family. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, Fairbury, Illinois. She was a former member of the Bryan Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving are one son, John (Mary Jane) Bouldrey of Liberty, Indiana; two daughters, Beverly (John) Enderli of Fairbury, Illinois and Gail Bouldrey of Salem, Oregon; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Carl Bouldrey, one grandson, one brother and nine sisters.
Visitation for Olieta Bell Bouldrey will be held Wednesday, April 2, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. in the Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, 100 West Maple Street, Fairbury, Illinois where funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday with Rev. Spencer Horman officiating. Removal will then be made to Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan, Ohio. Visitation for Olieta Bell Bouldrey will be held on Friday, April 4, 2014 from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 4, 2014 in Evansport Cemetery, Evansport, Ohio with Pastor Roger Blough officiating.
