One Dead in Van Wert Accident

One person dies in a three vehicle accident in Van Wert County. A semi driven by a Pennsylvania man was heading west on U.S. 30…he slowed for traffic in a construction zone. Bert Helsel, of Minster, was directly behind the semi and also began to slow down…that’s when another semi hit Helsel’s car from behind…pushing it into the back of the first semi. Helsel died at the scene.
