Patricia A. DeVault, 55 years, of Defiance, passed away Friday, September 19, 2014 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Patricia was born January 8, 1959 in Grundy, Virginia, the daughter of the late Arnold and Dorothy (Newberry) May. She was a 1976 graduate of Tinora High School. She married David M. DeVault on June 19, 1981 in Defiance. Patricia was a Nurse’s Aide at Genesis Healthcare-Bryan Center, in Bryan. She had also worked at Defiance Metal Products and Allied Moulded Products in Bryan. Patricia was also the owner of the former DeVault Mini Mart in Sherwood.
Surviving is her husband David of Defiance; one son, Jason DeVault of Defiance; two sisters, Carol (Jimmy) Ramey of Las Vegas, Nevada and Linda (Howard) Lambert of Leesburg, Florida; one brother, Larry (Kris) Blackburn of Defiance as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation for Patricia A. DeVault will be held Tuesday, September 23, 2014 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 230 East Elm Street, Sherwood where funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 24, 2014 with Pastor Kevin Doseck officiating. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home,
