Paul E. Kays, 90

Paul E. Kays, age 90, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 9:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 14, 2017, at Park View Care Center in Edgerton. Mr. Kays was a member of the Bryan High School class of 1945 and saw action in the South Pacific as a member of the United States Navy SeaBees during World War II. Returning home, Paul traveled extensively, visiting all 50 states and most of Canada. Paul had several places of employment, including the Ohio Turnpike, Bryan Municipal Utilities, Vistron, and Bryan Custom Plastics, eventually retiring as the Williams County Law Librarian and as an investigator for the Williams County Bureau of Support.

Paul E. Kays was born on April 19, 1927, in Bryan, the son of Enoch Booth Kays and Opal Marie (Myers) Kays. In 1958 he met Charlotte Rose Britt and they were married on July 19, 1958, in Cynthiana, Kentucky.

Survivors include his wife of nearly sixty years, Charlotte; two sons, Tim Kays, of Bryan and Mark (Kelly) Kays, of Dellslow, West Virginia; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and a sister, Lois Pollock, of Bryan. He was preceded in death by his parents; twin sister, Pauline Kays; and a brother, Donald Kays.

In accordance with Paul’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services at this time. Private interment will take place in Fountain Grove Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Krill Funeral Service, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan.
