Paul R. Johnson, age 83, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away at 12:51 A.M. on Wednesday, February 21, 2018, shortly after admittance to Community Hospitals and wellness Centers in Bryan. Mr. Johnson was a graduate of Ayresville High School and was a veteran of the United States Army He was self employed as a painter and wallpaper hanger. He also raised halflinger draft ponies with his son Kyle for many years.
Paul R. Johnson was born on September 19, 1934, in Oakwood, Ohio, the son of Ray Merle and Anna Marie Colwell. He married Kay E. Krick on August 8, 1959, in Paulding, Ohio, and she survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are one daughter, Elaine M. (Jeff) Wirick, of Sherwood, Ohio; three sons, Kevin P. (Tami) Johnson, of Bryan, Chad (Shelly) Johnson, of Bryan, and Kyle (Allison) Johnson, of Fort Wayne; nine grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018, from 2:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Service will be held on Sunday, February 25, 2018, at 1:30 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan with Pastor Mary Beth Smith-Gunn officiating. Interment with follow in the Farmer Cemetery with grave side military rites conducted by the Farmer American Legion Post 137 and the United States Army Honor Guard.
