PAULDING EMA PLANS

Enhanced county-wide par­tic­i­pa­tion dur­ing emer­gency exer­cises was the main topic of dis­cus­sion dur­ing the orga­ni­za­tional meet­ing of the new Pauld­ing County Emer­gency Man­age­ment Agency (EMA) advi­sory coun­cil.

The meet­ing was held Mon­day at the OSU Exten­sion build­ing, with the pur­pose of orga­niz­ing the advi­sory coun­cil. The coun­cil is to advise the EMA direc­tor on mat­ters of emer­gency man­age­ment and home­land secu­rity.

Mem­bers of the advi­sory coun­cil include all nine fire chiefs that serve the county, a rep­re­sen­ta­tive from the health depart­ment, county sher­iff, rep­re­sen­ta­tive from the com­mis­sion­ers office, one vil­lage mayor rep­re­sen­ta­tive and one town­ship asso­ci­a­tion representative.
