Enhanced county-wide participation during emergency exercises was the main topic of discussion during the organizational meeting of the new Paulding County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) advisory council.
The meeting was held Monday at the OSU Extension building, with the purpose of organizing the advisory council. The council is to advise the EMA director on matters of emergency management and homeland security.
Members of the advisory council include all nine fire chiefs that serve the county, a representative from the health department, county sheriff, representative from the commissioners office, one village mayor representative and one township association representative.
