Paulding EMS Director Axed

The Pauld­ing County Emer­gency Man­age­ment Direc­tor has been fired. Pauld­ing County com­mis­sion­ers voted unan­i­mously Mon­day to get rid of Randy Shaf­fer effec­tive imme­di­ately.

The Crescent-News reports that Shafer was at the meet­ing yes­ter­day, but he left imme­di­ately after the announce­ment that he was being canned.

Com­mis­sion­ers said an interim direc­tor will be hired by the end of this week. No rea­son for the fir­ing of Shaf­fer was given.
