Pauline E. Merillat, age 97, of Bryan, Ohio passed away Thursday, March 30, 2023 at the Hillside Country Living where she had been a resident. Pauline was a graduate of Edon High School and had worked at the Ohio Art Company as an assembler for over 30 years. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Bryan. Pauline enjoyed sewing, doing word searches and she read the Bryan Times back to front every day.
Pauline was born on September 16, 1925, in Edgerton, Ohio the daughter of Parker O. and Nina Z. (Campbell) Blosser. She married Chris Merillat, Jr. on February 22, 1946 in Bryan, Ohio and he preceded her in death on August 5, 1983.
Pauline is survived by her son, Roger (Kay) Merillat, of Archbold, Ohio; daughter, Cynthia (Tom) Case, of Sherwood, Ohio; two grandchildren, Katrina (Ryan) DeGroff and Keith (Jawn) Merillat; two step-grandchildren, Luke (Dawn) Case and Melissa (Ted) Kunkel; five great grandchildren, Katlyn, Kolton, Kaleb, Chloe and Karissa; six step-great grandchildren, Audra, Harper, Pierson, Mena, Katie and Clara, and her sister, Dorothy Woodring, of Lyons, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters; Evelyn Fockler, Arlene Mattes, and Donna Blosser and three brothers, Hershel, Lewis and Russell Blosser.
Visitation for Pauline E. Merillat will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry St., Bryan, Ohio. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Mary Beth Smith-Gunn officiating. Burial will follow at Shiffler Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to the Hillside Country Living Activity Fund or First Lutheran Church.
