Pauline L. C’Brien, 82 years, formerly of Fairview Park, Ohio passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Evergreen Healthcare Center, Montpelier with her daughter by her side. Pauline was born January 22, 1939 in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of the late Leo and Mary (Balko) Wojtowicz. She graduated with honors from Lakewood High School in 1957. Pauline married Steve C’Brien on June 26, 1987 in Cleveland, Ohio and he survives. She worked at White Consolidated Industries for 20 years. She then worked at Bonnie Bell as a secretary for two years before retiring. Pauline was a member of St. Angela Merici Catholic Church, Fairview Park, Ohio. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt. She always gave to others and was known for sending numerous thank you notes and random thinking of you gifts. She cherished her time spent with her family and especially her granddaughter. In her free time, Pauline enjoyed attending craft shows, knitting, walking and anything purple, especially her purple butterfly tattoo.
Surviving is her husband, Steve C’Brien formerly of Fairview Park, Ohio; daughter, Cynthia (John) May of Montpelier, Ohio; three granddaughters, Kayleigh, Emily, and Isabel; great-grandson, Elliot Xander; three sisters, Genevieve Rapp of Atlanta, Georgia, JoAnne Traum of Lakewood, Ohio, and Eileen (Jim) Raymond, MD of Oshkosh, Wisconsin; many nieces and nephews. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Dorothy Sumerak; brothers-in-law, Lee Rapp, Donald Traum and George Sumerak.
To honor Pauline’s wishes there will be no visitation or services held at this time. Arrangements are in care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan, Ohio.
