Pioneer has now voted to ban the manufacture, sale, distribution and possession of synthetic drugs and synthetic drug lookalikes.
On Monday the village council reports the unanimous vote to pass a new ordinance designed to make substances known as synthetic marijuana, K2, spice, bath salts, potpourri and others illegal, after reports indicate that those drugs have lead to deaths.
According to the Bryan Times, Pioneer Village Solicitor Tom Thompson said that the wording of the ordinance will remain effective regardless of changes that may come about in the chemicals used to make the various drugs.
