A Fremont man was in Steuben Superior Court on Monday, where he pleaded guilty to felony charges of dealing in Methamphetamine. 23-year-old Jeremiah Bates was arrested in April. Bates and 28-year-old co-defendant Christopher Henkle allegedly sold meth to a confidential informant for $1,050 last December. The plea deal reached yesterday, calls for Bates to serve 15 years behind bars, then be placed on probation for five years upon his release from prison. Two other drug related cases, including a total of six charges will be dropped if the judge accepts the plea agreement. A sentencing hearing was scheduled for August 24th.
