More than 1,900 customers in the New Haven area go without power during much of the early morning hours. Officials say it is not clear what caused it. Utility crews made repairs and most customers had power restored in roughly two hours. Several traffic lights were out during the interruption. Police had to handle a fair amount of traffic control at several intersections.
