Probation dept. former director pleads guilty to theft in office

In Pauld­ing County, the for­mer direc­tor of the pro­ba­tion depart­ment has pleaded guilty to theft in office. 46-year-old Payne res­i­dent Emily Munger pleaded guilty to a 4th degree felony yes­ter­day in a pre­trial hear­ing in Com­mon Pleas Court in Put­nam County. She will be sen­tenced on March 21. She could get as much as 18 months in prison. Munger will also have to pay over $10,000 in restitution.
