Rashel J. Podiak, 61

Rashel J. Podiak, 61 years, of Bryan, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2016 in her home, with her family at her side. Rashel was born March 3, 1955 in (city, state) the daughter of the late William Wade and Thelma I. (Miller) Collins. She was a 1973 graduate of Lake Taylor High School in Norfolk, Virginia, and later earned her Bachelor’s Degree from DeVry University. She was a Case Manager at CCNO for 16 years. Rashel enjoyed scrapbooking, making her own personalized cards, calligraphy and playing board games. What she treasured most was spending time with her family.

Surviving are her three children, Amy (Andy) Leahy of Dayton, Kentucky, Shelby Hazelett of Long Beach, California and Hailee (Brandon) Dummitt of Montpelier; three grandchildren, Isabella Dummitt, Jack Leahy and Dylan Hazelett; two brothers, Mark Collins, of Duck, North Carolina and William Collins of Bremerton, Washington; one nephew, John Celestino of Napoleon, Ohio and one niece, Thea Taylor Celestino of Bryan. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Christine Celestino.

There will not be any visitation. A Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends on Saturday, August 20, 2016, beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the Bryan Moose Lodge 1064. Arrangements are under the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home-Greenisen Chapel, 225 East High Street, Bryan.

Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions be made to her daughter, Hailee Dummitt.
