A county resident presents a petition to the Williams County Agricultural Society, asking for the resignation of board Vice President, Alan Bennett. The petition, dated December 2017 and including about 145 signatures, was presented by Matt Uran. It cited a July 25, 2017, county sheriff’s incident report involving Bennett, and a Montpelier police report dealing with a similar incident, as the reason for seeking Bennett’s resignation.
