Resignation In Defiance

A resignation from the Defiance city council…

76 year old Ward II representative Larry Bryant submitted his letter of resignation this week, stating that he was stepping down due to his age and some health issues.

Bryant has been on the council since 2008, and he was re-elected to a second four-year term in 2011. In his letter of resignation, Bryant told the other council members that he will stick around until a replacement is found.

Now, the job of finding the next Ward II councilman is underway. Whoever it is, will need to live in Defiance, and interviews will begin soon.

If you think this would be something you’d like to try, contact the Defiance County Clerk Of Courts.
