Richard E. Herman, age 72, of Reading, Michigan, and formerly of Bryan, Ohio, died at 10:40 A.M. on Friday, October 28, 2016, at his residence. Mr. Herman had been employed at ITT Tubing for many years and had worked at several other area factories. He enjoyed working on lawn mowers and jig-saw puzzles and he was a longtime avid dart player participating in several leagues.
Richard was born on January 16, 1944, in Bryan, Ohio. His parents were Harold and Clara Herman. He married Viola M. Bradford on August 7, 1990, in Denver, Colorado, and she preceded him in death on October 2, 2015.
Richard is survived by his children, Deb Gillett, David E. Herman and Robert Herman, all of Bryan, and Richard M. Herman, of Edgerton, Ohio; stepchildren, Brian (Angela) Swicker, of Kerrville, Texas, Kevin (Patricia) Gillett, of Paulding, Ohio, Kerry Gillett, of Pasadena, Texas, Lori Adams, of LaPorte, Texas, Edward (Cindy) Landwehr, Jr., of Kunkle, Ohio, and Mark (Janet) Landwehr, also of LaPorte, Texas; many grandchildren and great grandchildren and a brother, Robert Perry, of Boulder, Colorado. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Viola and a brother, Allen Perry.
Services will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2015, at 4:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Service, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan with Pastor J. Mark Holbrook officiating. Interment will follow in Fountain Grove Cemetery, Bryan. Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 P.M. at the funeral home on Wednesday, prior to the funeral service.
