Richard L. Hartman, 81

Richard L. Hartman, age 81, of Pemberville and a long time resident of West Unity, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at Promedica Bay Park Hospital in Oregon, Ohio. Richard worked at Aro Corporation for 37 years in various positions including quality control and shipping and receiving. He retired from Arrow Tru-Line. Dick was a member of First Baptist Church in Bryan, was an active member of the Bryan Senior Center and was a licensed pilot. He was an avid fisherman- traveling to Canada and Alaska to fish, enjoyed the outdoors and car shows.

Richard L. Hartman was born December 25, 1941, in Defiance, Ohio, the son of George D. and Elsie L. (Mandle) Hartman. Richard married Peggy L. Roose at Lockport Mennonite Church on October 2, 1965 and she survives.

Richard is also survived by his daughters, Sheila (Gregory “Todd”) Webb, of Milbury, Ohio and Sherri Hartman of Columbus; grandchildren, Toby (Caitlin) Clark, of Oregon, Ohio, Sherisa (Brennan) Siebert, of Wartburg, Tennessee and Stephen (Casey) Clark, of Oak Harbor, Ohio; great grandchildren, Levi, Elsie, Hudson, Allie, Ava, Everly and Anna- and one on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Mary Gustwiller, Shirley Rockhill and Thelma Zinsmaster.

Visitation for Richard L. Hartman will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023 from 10:00A.M.-12:00 P.M., at Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Funeral services will be held at Noon with Pastor Nick Woodall officiating. Burial will follow at Shiffler Cemetery, Bryan.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to First Baptist Church.
