Ricky Allen Lorentz, age 57, of Bryan, Ohio passed away on Friday, May 11, 2018, surrounded by his family at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice near Defiance. He courageously battled cancer for a year and a half. Ricky was a 1978 graduate of Bryan High School. He enjoyed watching sports, especially baseball and football. He was a fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, Detroit Tigers and Indianapolis Colts. His greatest joy was spending time with his daughter, grandchildren and family. He will be remembered for his kind heart and selflessness.
Ricky A. Lorentz was born on November 1, 1960, in Wauseon, Ohio, the son of Edward H. and Betty L. (Donze) Lorentz.
Ricky is survived by his daughter, Natoshia Miller, of Bryan; grandchildren, Kirsten and Kameron Canfield, of Bryan; his parents, Edward and Betty Lorentz, of Bryan; a brother, Barry (Tonia) Lorentz, of Fort Wayne; sister, Sonja (Matt) Dendinger, of Dublin, Ohio; nieces and nephews, Stephanie (Mike) Wahl, of Defiance, Jamie Lorentz, of Columbus and Gabrielle Dendinger, of Dublin and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred and Vesta Lorentz and Walter and Laura Donze as well as many aunts and uncles.
Visitation for Ricky A. Lorentz will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home with Pastor Deb Widdowson officiating. Burial will follow at Shiffler Cemetery.
