Rita Carol Gaddis, 58 years, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away Monday, July 13, 2015 at Evergreen
Manor Nursing Home, Montpelier. Rita was born March 6, 1957 in Shelbyville, Kentucky, the
daughter of Roy M. and Sue E. (Kemp) Gaddis. She was a 1975 graduate of Eminence High
School. Rita worked as a care giver for the disabled, employed by Champaign Residential
Services Incorporated, Defiance. She also worked as a cook in many restaurants. Rita was a
member of Life Changing Realities Fellowship. She was also a member of the Montpelier Eagles
Aries 2246 and the Montpelier Moose 0312. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed camping
in her younger years.
Surviving are her son, Michael Owens of Eminence Kentucky; mother, Sue Kemp of Montpelier,
Ohio; step-mother, Shirley Robinson of Eminence, Kentucky; one sister, Donna (Wayne) Koch of
Bryan, Ohio; one brother, Roy Gaddis, Jr. of Eminence, Kentucky; two nieces, and three
nephews. She was preceded in death by her father.
There will be no visitation and private family services will be held. Arrangements are under the
care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan.
