Robert A. “Jack” Zeigler, age 89, of Wauseon passed away early Sunday November 8, 2015 in his home. Prior to his retirement he was a dedicated craftsman building and remodeling homes with his company, Zeigler Construction.
Mr. Zeigler was born in Pettisville, Ohio on June 8, 1926 the son of the late Earl and the late Lenora (Imes) Zeigler. On October 26, 1947 he married the former Joan Moll and she survives. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Wauseon where he had been a Deacon and had also been active on many committees over the years. Mr. Zeigler had also served on the Wauseon Homecoming Committee.
Surviving besides his wife, Joan are his children; Terry (Jackie) Zeigler of Wauseon, Randy (Mary Jane) Zeigler of Wauseon, Sandy (Rev. Randall) Johnson of Greenwood, Indiana, grandchildren; Casey (Carol Applequist) Zeigler, Jarred (Lindy) Zeigler, Lindsay (Ryan) Dwornik, Bryant (Heather) Zeigler, Krista (Clint) Johnson Weicksel, Tim (Mackenzie) Johnson, Michael Johnson and six great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death besides his parents were his siblings; Edward Zeigler, Stanley “Gene” Zeigler, Dortha “Dottie” Stephenson and Roger Zeigler.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday November 11, 2015 at the First Christian Church in Wauseon with Pastor Mitch Maxted and Rev. Randall S. Johnson officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday November 10 from 4:00-8:00pm and on Wednesday from 10:00am until service time at the First Christian Church.
