Ronald “Deke” M. Dietrich, 62, of Montpelier passed away Sunday evening at his home. He was born on February 12, 1957 in Bryan to Ronald M. and Grace M. (Finch) Dietrich. Ronald graduated from Millford High School, in Michigan, in 1975.
He attended Life Changing Church in Edgerton. Ronald worked on the Norfolk and Southern Railroad for 25 years, as a Bridge Welder Foreman. He was a member of the Montpelier Eagles, enjoyed hunting and was a very talented carpenter, builder and woodworker.
Ronald is survived by his children, Heather (Ryan) Freese and Ashley Walz all of Montpelier; four grandchildren; and siblings Denise Feasby of Kelleys Island, Ohio, Tom (Tammy) Dietrich of Flint, Michigan and Char (Ritchie) Kaslowski of Dewey Lake, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of Deke’s life will take place on Sunday, October 13, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the Montpelier Eagles.
