Ronald N. Keil, 89

Ronald N. Keil, 89, of Holiday City, OH passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in Bryan. He was born on February 23, 1934 in Toledo, OH to Joseph J. Keil Sr. and Anges (Schmitz) Keil. Ron graduated from Macomber Vocational High School in 1952 and he served in the United States Army. On October 19, 1957, Ron married Joann M. Wagner at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Defiance and she preceded him in death on November 5, 2010.

Ron was a very proud, lifelong Holiday City farmer. He was a member of the Ohio Farm Bureau and he previously served as a Holiday City Council member for 14 years. Ron was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Montpelier, a member of the Knights of Columbus, the American Legion and Moose both in Montpelier.

He is survived by his children; Cindy (Jerry) Sniadecki, of Montpelier, Susan (Kyle) Custer of Bryan, Denise (Dennis) Miller of Fayette, Ronald G. (Kristie) Keil of Holiday City, and Kris (Doug) Dulle of Edon; eight grandchildren, Kyle (Jason) Caudill, Joseph Keil (Lauren Kennedy), Megan (Keith) Gearhart, Morgan (Cody) Hulbert, Tyler Miller, Jacob, Jenna and Logan Dulle; six great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and three brothers, Cliff and Tom Keil and Jerry (Carol) Keil.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joann Keil; three sisters, Rose Marie Keil, Kay Gray and Ginny Labordee; and one brother, Joe Keil, Jr.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 from 2-8 pm at the Thompson Funeral Home on Main Street in Montpelier, with a rosary service beginning at 7:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Montpelier with Father Andrew Wellman to officiate. Interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery in Montpelier. Memorials may be made in Ron’s memory to Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
