Roseleen Dennison, 79

Roseleen Dennison, 79 years, of West Unity, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Genesis HealthCare – Bryan Center with her family at her side.  Rosie was born August 10, 1935 in Cub Run, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Harry and Lula (Thompson) Miles.  She married Floyd Thomas Dennison on February 21, 1951 in Cub Run, Kentucky, and he preceded her in death on April 21, 2004.  Rosie was employed by ITT-Higbie for 30 years, retiring in 1994.  She was a 30 year member of the Bryan Eagles Aerie #2233.  Rosie loved to visit casinos and try her luck.  She formerly was an avid bowler.  She was known as a wonderful cook, and many family members remember her fried chicken and biscuits and gravy.

Surviving are four sons, Junior Dennison (Carlene Myers) of Bryan, James E. “Buck” (Jane) Dennison of Bryan, Hank (Joann) Dennison of Port Charlotte, Florida and Doug Dennison of West Unity; 16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty (Vechal) Cline of Cave City, Kentucky and one sister-in-law, Shirley Miles of Kessinger, Kentucky.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Floyd, one daughter, Norma Jean McGrew, one grandson, Billy McGrew, one great grandson, Alec Fisher, three brothers, Royce, Clystal and Richard Miles and one sister, Alma Sturgeon.

Visitation for Roseleen Dennison will be held from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2015 and from 10:00 -11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 202 North Liberty Street, West Unity.  Funeral services for Rosie will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2015 in the funeral home with Lee Miles and Ray Newsome officiating.  Interment will follow in Floral Grove Cemetery, West Unity.
