Roy F. Tolles, age 79 of Wauseon, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Fulton Manor Nursing Home. Prior to his retirement, He worked for the Fulton County Expositor and Timkin. Roy was an avid hobbyist and collector who enjoyed trains and tractors. He also loved animals and was a long-time member of the Christ United Methodist Church.
Roy was born on August 8, 1938 in Weston, Ohio to the late Fred and the late Ada (Wansitler) Tolles. On January 2, 1965, he married Sandra Sue Bayes, and she preceded him in death on October 27, 2008. Together, they had one son, James (Michelle) Tolles, and he survives.
Surviving besides his son is one grandson, Alex (Paige) Tolles of Defiance; great-grandchildren Alexis, Aubree, Greyson and Jay Tolles and Mariska Badgely, all of Defiance; one brother, Ray (Connie) Tolles and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and wife, Roy was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Wade and Evelyn Donnelly.
According to the wishes of the family, cremation has taken place. Graveside services will be conducted at the Wauseon Union Cemetery on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Mike Berne officiating.
