Sadonna J. Spiess, age 91, of Archbold, passed away on Friday morning, July 22, 2016 at the Fairlawn Haven Nursing Home in Archbold. She was born on September 21, 1924, near Delta, to Fred and Elizabeth (Zimmerman) Hoffman. She married Lowell C. Weber on Nov. 19, 1944, and he preceded her in death on November 21, 1956. They had four sons.
Survivors include two sons, David (Susana) Weber of West Boxford, Mass. and Lowell (Nancy) Weber of Daleville, Indiana; daughters-in-law, Mary Helen Weber of Cincinnati, and Vicki Weber of Minnetonka, Minn. Also four grandsons, Christopher (Kim) Weber, Roger F. Weber, Mark and Luke Weber; and two great-grandsons, Sam and Ben. Also surviving is one sister, Joan Tilse of Wauseon; step-daughters, Janet Angiulli and Sandra Matheny; step-sons, James Myers and Brad Spiess; and several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, James G. Weber in 2004 and Roger A. Weber in 2007; three husbands, Lowell C. Weber, Lloyd Myers, and Nelson Spiess.
Sadonna was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan, a wonderful mother, grandmother, mother-in-law and sister. She had been very supportive with the Fairlawn Auctions, loved flower gardening, volunteered with Meals on Wheels and participated in aerobics into her 80’s!
Visitation for Sadonna will be held from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at the Grisier Funeral Home in Archbold, where the funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 P.M., with Pastor Erich Christman and Pastor Adam Just, officiating. Interment will follow in the Zion Cemetery, near Delta. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the Archbold FISH Pantry or to the Humane Society.
