SEARCH WARRANT IN DEFIANCE

A search war­rant was exe­cuted Tues­day at a Defi­ance busi­ness in con­junc­tion with an inves­ti­ga­tion being con­ducted by the Multi-Area Nar­cotics Unit in con­junc­tion with the Ohio Bureau of Crim­i­nal Iden­ti­fi­ca­tion and Inves­ti­ga­tion agents and the Drug Enforce­ment Administration’s Toledo office.

The oper­a­tion also involved the the Secret Ser­vice, the Defi­ance County Sheriff’s Office, the Defi­ance Police Depart­ment and the Defi­ance County Prosecutor’s office.

Accord­ing to a press release, Whole­salers BBD, LLC on Bal­ti­more Road in Defi­ance, “is alleged to man­u­fac­ture large amounts of syn­thetic can­nib­i­noids intended for con­sump­tion by users, as opposed to the claim that these sub­stances are a type of pot­pourri or incense. The busi­ness dis­trib­utes the sub­stances across the United States as well as sup­ply­ing local shops.“

No arrests were made while the inves­ti­ga­tion is ongoing.
