Severe Storms Strike Region

A severe and dam­ag­ing storm raced across our area on Wednes­day night, bring­ing down power lines and trees in it’s path of destruc­tion. Toledo Edi­son reports a num­ber of out­ages in and around Defi­ance, Florida and Wauseon, leav­ing hun­dreds of peo­ple in the dark. Accord­ing to the National Weather Ser­vice, winds of up to 65 miles per hour buf­fet­ted the area, along with large hail as big as 1/2 inch in diam­e­ter. So far, we have no reports of any­one being injured in those storms.
