Severe weather moved through our region, sending one area man to the hospital after a lightning strike.
Three men were working on a vehicle in a garage on Fulton County Road D when lightning struck nearby. One of those men was injured and taken to an area hospital.
Officials are also concerned about flooding.
They say that even though most of the precipitation has already fallen, they are watching the rivers
The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for the Tiffin River near Stryker. It is expected that the river will crest near 13.1 feet on Monday. That’s about two feet above the flood stage which is 11 feet, which would impact some farm buildings and secondary roads.
At Napoleon, the river may rise to near 13.6 feet Saturday morning. The flood stage is 12 feet.
In Ottawa, estimates have the river rising to 24.6 feet. Flood stage is 23 feet.
