Sex Offender Nabbed In California — Ties To Local Area

A local man has been arrested in Cal­i­for­nia, and charged with a sex crime.

Ricky Rothen­buh­ler, a reg­is­tered sex offender, has been hunted by author­i­ties since last fall when he was indicted in Williams County for the alleged rape of a men­tally hand­i­capped girl, and for fail­ure to notify author­ites of a change of address. Rothen­buh­ler was finally col­lared last week in the south­east­ern Cal­i­for­nia desert.

Rothen­buh­ler was sched­uled to appear Sat­ur­day in a Cal­i­for­nia court, after which he was going to be extridited back to Williams County for an appear­ance on the local charges.
