A statewide human trafficking operation led by the Ohio Attorney General’s Office resulted in 135 arrests, including multiple people from northwest Ohio and one from southeast Michigan, officials announced Monday. The initiative, called Operation Next Door, was carried out by more than 100 federal, state and local law enforcement agencies across Ohio, including in Toledo. Operation Next Door was named to highlight the proximity and prevalence of human trafficking.
