The Steuben County Prosecutor’s office announces the hiring of a new deputy prosecuting attorney. Officials confirm that Cedric Hollabaugh has been chosen for the posting. Hollabaugh was born in Angola and raised in Butler. He graduated valedictorian from Eastside High School in 2007. He then went to Indiana University-Purdue University-Indianapolis in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in forensic and Investigative Science. He worked as a forensic chemist at the Miami Valley Regional Crime Laboratory in Dayton, Ohio for two years. In 2016, Hollabaugh received his law degree from Indiana University and was admitted to the Indiana Bar in October 2016. Prior to joining the Prosecutor’s Office, Hollabaugh served as a Steuben County public defender for approximately six years. He also maintained a private practice, concentrating in municipal and criminal law.
