Steuben Drug Bust At Campground

A man was charged Mon­day fol­low­ing a metham­phet­a­mine bust at a Steuben County camp­ground.

57-year-old Rus­sell Mansell of Freemont, is now fac­ing felony charges of man­u­fac­tur­ing meth, pos­ses­sion of meth, ille­gal pos­ses­sion of pre­cur­sors and main­tain­ing a com­mon nui­sance.

Mansell was also charged with pos­ses­sion of a con­trolled sub­stance and pos­ses­sion of para­pher­na­lia in Steuben County Court.

Mansell was arrested by the Steuben County Sheriff’s Depart­ment fol­low­ing a search of his camper after they got a tip that he had the stuff inside. He’s being held, with bond set at $15,000.
