Steven K. Joice, 74

Steven K. Joice, 74 of Sandusky, Ohio and formerly of Montpelier, Ohio passed away on January 28, 2025 at the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky, Ohio.  He was born on July 16, 1950 in Bryan to Lavon O. and Edith “Dolly” M. (Towns) Joice.  Steven graduated in 1968 from North Central High School in Pioneer.  He went on to serve his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Steven worked for Greg Martin Construction in Pioneer as a general contractor from 2005-2017.  Prior to that he worked as a general manager for Corvette Connection Inc. in Fremont, Indiana from 1993-2001.  Steven also worked as a supervisor at Magnavox in Garrett, Indiana building sonobuoys for defense contracts from 1985-1993.

Steven is survived by his children Dacia Hake of Edon and Devin (Staci) Hake of Edon; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brother Greg (Nonnie) Joice of Pioneer; and sister, Karen Joice of Corsicana, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 3, 2025 from 3-6 pm at the Thompson Funeral Home on Main Street in Montpelier.  Military honors will be presented at 6 pm at the funeral home by the Montpelier Veterans.  Donations may be made in Steven’s memory to the charity of the donor’s choice.
