Susan (Demlow) Burres, age 70, of Wauseon passed away late Wednesday September 4, 2013 surrounded by her loving family after a courageous four year battle with cancer. Prior to her retirement she had been a Property Manager.
Mrs. Burres was born on June 30, 1943 in Canton, Ohio the daughter of the late George and the late Evelyn (Wilson) Demlow. On September 28, 1968 she married David Burres and he survives. She was a member of the First Church of God in Wauseon and was also a member of the Delta Eagles #2597 and the Wauseon VFW Post # 7424.
Surviving besides her husband David are two sons; Raymond (Kim) Burres of Wauseon, Tom (Cora) Burres of Delta, Step-son Kevin Snyder of Arizona, grandchildren, Amanda Knapp, Sadie, Seth and Sophie Burres, Kayla, Tiffany and Harley Snyder and great-grand-daughter Brooklyn Behnfeldt. Also surviving is brother; Tom (Nicki) Demlow of Ashland, Ohio and sister; Deb (Jesse) Martinez of Washington. Preceding her in death besides her parents were sisters, Ann Brigham and Beverly Demlow.
A celebration of Susie’s life on Sunday September 29th from 12-4 at the Delta Eagles. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to either Gentiva Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
