The Guard Responds

The Ohio National Guard started deploying 2,300 soldiers and airmen throughout the state in response to the COVID-19 pandemic earlier this month. The team assigned to Williams County arrived Monday morning. Capt. Matthew Clairday, a communications officer from the 180th Fighter Wing in Toledo, brought six soldiers and four airman to support Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in Bryan and Montpelier. They will work 48 hours per week through Feb. 4. They are all from northwest Ohio
