The Bryan City Council takes no action on the fate of Bryan Police Chief, Chris Chapa…after an executive session in council chambers. As of now, he remains on administrative leave. As we reported…an investigation centers on his role in a rift with former assistant chief, Gary Mohre that became public at a council meeting Aug. 2. Mohre submitted a letter of resignation at the meeting but city council took the unusual move of denying it. Mohre was then fired after a Sept. 7 closed, executive session with city council.
