Thomas A. O’Connell, age 80, of Wauseon, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at the Fulton County Health Center. Prior to his retirement he had worked for Conrail as a Train Master.
Thomas was born in Wyandotte, Michigan on July 30, 1941, the son of Robert P. and Agnes C. (Helle) O’Connell. He married Elizabeth Kehyian in 1962 and she preceded him in death in 2000. In 2002 he married Nancy E. Kish, and she survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Noreen O’Connell of Michigan, Doreen Cole of Michigan; son, Thomas O’Connell of Michigan; step-daughter, Julane Mason of West Unity; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A brother, Dennis O’Connell of Arizona also survives. Thomas was preceded in death byhis parents and first wife.
Services will be private. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Detroit. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.grisierfh.com. Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
