Thomas J. Zehr, 58, passed away January 15,2016. He was born in Montpelier, Ohio. Thomas was a veteran of the Navy. He was employed by Meggitt Aircraft Braking Systems Corporation for 35 years. Thomas graduated from Montpelier High School in 1975 and Stark State in 1989 with a degree in Electronic Engineering. He enjoyed hiking, fishing and spending time with his family.
Thomas is survived by son Aaron; grandson Jack; mother Betty Zehr; sisters Shirley (Randy) Starr, Pam (Myron) Schaadt, Shelley (Steve) Jackson, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by father Rolland, brother Dennis and great niece Cassie Starr.
Graveside service with military honors will be held Saturday, March 19,2016, 1:00pm at Riverside Cemetery, State Route 107, Montpelier, OH, followed by a gathering for family and friends at Grace Community Church, 206 West Bement St., Bryan, Ohio. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Akron General Medical Center Hospice Care Center, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron, Ohio 44333.
