Thomas Yanez, 78, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Hickory Creek at Hicksville, Hicksville, Ohio. Tom was born on December 7, 1941 in Downy, California, the son of the late Alfred and Amelia Lara Yanez. He was a graduate of Cerritos College with an Associates degree in Computer Science. Tom was an member of the United States Air Force, serving as a Senior Master Sergeant in the Korean and Vietnam wars. On May 17th, 1967, he was united in marriage to Billie Holland and she survives. Tom worked as a communications specialist for NASA for 17 1/2 years. Tom was very creative and he designed Faberge Eggs. He traveled the world, loved playing bridge and was a hard worker taking care of a lot of people around town.
Tom’s survivors include his wife Billie; children, Thomas Jr of Maryland, Lori Rae (Rodney) Dubuisson of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; grandchildren, Thomas Justin Brown, Laura Yanez; great grandson, Merl Yanez and a sister Terri (Rudy). He was preceded in death by his parents.
Following Tom’s wishes, there will be no services at this time.
