Timothy John “Possum” Loftus, age 57, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 11:45 P.M. on Wednesday, March 1, 2017, in his home after a brief illness. Mr. Loftus was a 1977 graduate of Edgerton High School and had worked in auto body and light construction for a number of years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and hunting mushrooms and was a fan of Ohio State and NASCAR and was a member of the Hicksville Eagles.
Timothy John Loftus was born on March 16, 1959, in Toledo, Ohio, the son of Raymond Sharp and Margaret M. (McMahon) Loftus II.
Survivors include two sisters, Linda (Tom) Moy, of Toledo, Ohio, and Patricia Wicker, of Temperance, Michigan; and two brothers, Christopher and Bruce (Pam) Loftus, both of Edgerton. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Raymond Sharp Loftus III, who died in Vietnam.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2017, from 3:00-7:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 114 East Hull Street, Edgerton. Private interment will take place in St. Mary Cemetery, Edgerton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the family for expenses.
