Unique winter experience at African Safari Wildlife Park.

The African Safari Wildlife Park in Port Clinton is offering a unique winter experience with the introduction of a 40-minute VIP behind-the-scenes tour of its brand-new giraffe barn. The tour, available at 10 a.m. on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, provides an in-depth look at the daily operations involved in caring for the park’s giraffes. Guests will ride to the barn for a keeper-led tour, and learn about the feeding, training and health maintenance that goes into caring for the animals.

Meanwhile, Port Clinton-based African Safari Wildlife Park is accepting real Christmas tree donations for animal enrichment. The trees will serve as a treat for bison, cattle, alpacas and deer at the wildlife park. Once the animals are finished with the trees, they are composed and used as mulch around the park in spring. Trees can be dropped off through Sunday, January 5th.
